Contact UsWhat Is IPL?
Patients who are concerned about the appearance of sun damage or dark spots in their complexion can be ideal candidates for intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy at Luxe Nova Medical Aesthetics. A photofacial with IPL is a skin treatment for pigmentation issues on the neck and face. We send intense pulses of light energy to start the natural regeneration process and boost collagen production. As the added nutrients take effect, you should notice a healthier complexion, an enhanced tone, and fewer areas of hyperpigmentation. Even though a photofacial is a noninvasive procedure, it can be highly effective and can create amazing results for your skin. Our Manchester, NH team employs Harmony® XL PRO technology from Alma Lasers to complete IPL therapy and can provide a skin consultation to see if this service can help you reach your skin goals.

IPL FAQ
How much does IPL cost?
Your complexion issues are unique, meaning the cost of IPL treatments depends on your condition. Luxe Nova Medical Aesthetics sometimes runs special deals, and we accept a range of convenient payment solutions. Our team can help estimate your treatment pricing during your initial visit and discuss the number of visits required to match your goals.
How quick are the results from IPL?
Some skin improvements can often be experienced after your Harmony XL PRO IPL session, but the best results typically develop a month after your last treatment. It’s normal for you to see different responses following each session. As time passes, you will most likely experience a gradual improvement in redness, blotchiness, age spots, and sun spots.
What are the possible side effects of IPL?
Most patients have minor side effects, such as temporary redness, swelling, bruising, blisters, or crusting. This should fade 2 – 3 days following your treatment. The treated areas will be sun-sensitive, and you should remember that exposure to damaging UV rays can impact your results. You should also wear sunscreen to protect your skin and help avoid skin damage, including redness and sun spots.
Do I need to prep for IPL?
Manchester, NH patients undergoing an IPL treatment are usually asked to avoid sun exposure and self-tanners for a minimum of 2 – 4 weeks before the appointment. You may be asked to discontinue the use of certain medications several days before each procedure and will likely need to avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood thinners for a week before the procedure to decrease your risk of bruising. You should also use sun protection (like a hat and sunscreen) between treatments.
Why should I get multiple IPL sessions?
We recommend getting a series of IPL treatments to produce gradual, natural-looking improvements to the quality of your complexion. Every treatment helps to diminish sun spots and hyperpigmentation. Several sessions also produce longer-lasting aesthetic outcomes.
Luxe Nova Medical Aesthetics Reviews
Professional, clean environment and facility. Sarah offers a variety of aesthetic services. She answered all my questions regarding the procedure itself and provided excellent care during the process which made for a positive experience where I felt confident in the care I received. Easy scheduling, prompt communication and prices very reasonable as well. Highly recommended!
EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! Sarah takes the time to talk to you about your concerns, skin habits and formulates a plan that works best for you! I've had a sun spot on my face for years, have tried other treatments and Sarah's treatment was finally able to treat the spot and it has not come back. The location is ideal and has a "chill" vibe!! I will definitely be a repeat customer for my skin care needs!!
